Glazora doesn't judge a quote as cheap, expensive, good or bad. Several factors legitimately change price between two otherwise similar-looking quotes:
- System tier — entry-level, mid-range and premium profile systems cost different amounts even in the same material.
- Glass specification — U-value, spacer bar type, acoustic or solar-control coatings and gas fill all affect price.
- Hardware — handle finish, hinge quality and multi-point locking grade vary in cost.
- Colour and foil finishes — dual-colour and foiled frames typically cost more than plain white.
- Guarantee backing — an insurance-backed guarantee costs the installer more to provide than an unbacked one.
- Installation scope — removal and disposal of the old units, and making good to plaster, render or brickwork, may or may not be included.
- Access — scaffolding or specialist access equipment for upper floors or bifold/lift-and-slide doors.
- Building-regulation items — trickle vents, fire egress hardware and compliance certificates can be included or charged separately.
