About Glazora

Buying windows and doors is harder than it should be. That is the problem Glazora exists to solve.

Most homeowners are asked to compare products they buy once or twice in a lifetime, from companies selling entirely different systems, using quotations that rarely describe the same specification. Glazora exists to make those decisions easier to understand.

What Glazora does

Independent explanation, specification and quotation review.

Explains products and systems

Plain-English guidance on materials, profile systems, glass and hardware, so you understand what you are actually being offered.

Reviews quotations you already have

If you have a quotation in hand, we help you read it properly: what it specifies, what it omits, and how it compares with the alternatives.

Helps you write down what you need

A clear, comparable statement of your requirement, so any installer you approach is pricing the same thing.

Advises industry and commercial organisations

Independent specification, tender and product guidance for installers, fabricators, and organisations procuring at scale.

What Glazora does not do

Being useful means being honest about the edges of the job.

  • Glazora does not manufacture windows or doors.
  • Glazora does not install anything.
  • Glazora does not carry out a professional survey of your property.
  • Glazora is not tied to one manufacturer, fabricator or system.
  • Glazora does not sell your details to anyone.
  • Glazora does not replace a professional survey or a building-control decision — those remain the responsibility of a qualified installer and, where relevant, your local authority.

Why it matters

Most PVC-U windows in Britain come from a small number of profile systems.

The brand on your quotation is rarely the whole story. Knowing which profile system sits behind it changes what questions are worth asking, and what a fair price looks like.

How recommendations are approached

A method, not a script.

Start from the property and the priorities

Not from a preferred product. What the building needs comes first.

State compromises as plainly as benefits

Every material and system involves a trade-off. We say so, rather than only listing the upside.

Name the system, not just the brand

So you can compare like with like, wherever you take the quotation next.

Say when we don't know

An honest gap in knowledge is more useful than a confident guess.

How Glazora protects your trust

Rules we hold ourselves to.

  • No commission-driven recommendation. A product or system is never suggested because it pays better.
  • Any commercial relationship that could affect advice is disclosed, not buried.
  • No cold calling. You hear from us because you asked us to.
  • Nothing is shared with an installer unless you ask us to make that introduction.

The full detail of how this works commercially is set out on how Glazora makes money.

A deliberate standard

Glazora is new, and we would rather say so.

There is no trading history to point to, no customer numbers to quote, and no testimonials on this site. We have chosen not to invent any of them.

That is not an apology. It is a standard. Until Glazora has a track record worth citing, the site has to earn your trust on the quality of its explanations, not the size of its client list. If that changes, we will say so plainly, and update this page rather than leave it out of date.
